I want to share the details of one special event that I had a privilege to design at the beginning stages of my business. Gaitree was a friend of a girl that I had met on the wedding set up for my neighbor. Gaitree was organizing a party to celebrate her 40th birthday. It is how my experience with ostrich feather centerpieces has started anyway. We worked together to style the celebration for her close friends and family. The fabulous birthday girl wanted an elegant affair with décor details in all areas of the reception venue, including touches in bathrooms as well. The chosen colours were classic white and black with a modern twist.
Going through these photos was really nostalgic for me - this was THE Event that influenced my design 'career' in many ways and gave me a lot of confidence. We needed to create ostrich centerpieces, bar arrangements and fabulous designs to be placed around the room. Each table setting was adorned with a small vase with white rose. All the design elements turned out great, and the place card table set up become the source of inspiration on Bride.ca and it can be found here. It was an evening to remember. Gaitree {who was the star of the night} was surrounded by her family and friends, and yes, I also was there to take part in the celebrations. It turned out that one of her uncles was my neighbor.
The picture tree that I created turned out to be the center of attention. Through the night the guests would come and check all the pictures. It was a custom creation of black twigs, crystal and personal photographs.
Oh, one more exciting news here, Tracey, who introduced us, is getting married the upcoming summer, and guess, we are going do her wedding décor. Can’t wait, can’t wait.
